What to write about

A correction is most useful when it names the page, quotes the statement that is wrong and points to the official document that shows otherwise, such as a Gazette notification, a judgment or a Ministry reply. The pages of this site give their sources and the dates of the documents they rely on, so that a statement can be checked against them, and a documented correction is made on the page.

Suggestions of sources are welcome in the same form: the document, the body that published it and the date. The site relies on primary documents, so a suggestion that points to the Gazette, a court or a Ministry is easier to use than a report that describes them.

What the site cannot do

The pages describe the law and are not legal advice, and the site does not take up individual cases or report a cyber crime on anyone’s behalf; the disclaimer sets out the scope. A person who has been defrauded online should tell the bank at once and call 1930, as the page on the 1930 helpline explains, and can file a complaint as described on the page on filing a cyber crime complaint online.
